126,360 new doses of Pfizer vaccines arrived

Last Wednesday, October 13, Colombia received a new batch of vaccines against covid-19. It is about 126,360 doses from the Pfizer laboratory, which arrived in the country through bilateral negotiations with this pharmaceutical company.

This was explained by the Deputy Minister of Public Health and Provision of Services, Luis Alexander Moscoso, who indicated that biologics will be used for second doses and booster doses of those who complied with their schedules and for first and second doses of pregnant women.

“It is important to indicate that the country needs that Colombians get vaccinated. Although we have made progress, there are Colombians who have not received a single dose, which puts them at risk, ”said Deputy Minister Moscoso.

In that sense, he urged Colombians to approach the vaccination points, since doses are available in all territories.

“We need a greater speed of vaccination, we have the vaccines, the vaccination points, but we need all the people to attend,” recommended the deputy minister.

Regarding vaccination, with a cut-off to Monday, October 11, in the country, 43,315,450 have been applied, including 18,815,492 of complete schedules and 38,262 booster doses.
