2. When the Black Widow plot takes place
As a prequel, the MCU blockbuster takes place before the tragic events of Avengers 4: Endgame. Strictly speaking, the plot is Black Widow timed between Captain America 3: Civil War and Avengers 3: Infinity War settled. This also explains why Natasha is on the run at the beginning of her solo film.
