According to the police, a driver (18) on Tuesday evening at around 6.30 p.m. on Richard-Wagner-Strasse near the hotel “Steigenberger” turned left over the tracks into a parking garage at a red light.
The driver of the tram (line 1) had to initiate an emergency braking. It was said that there was no collision.
During the maneuver, a wheelchair user who had taken the light rail fell and was seriously injured. The 23-year-old was taken to a hospital.
