Police unions are taking action at Brussels and Charleroi airports this Friday morning. At Brussels Airport, “the actions relate to passport control for passengers departing to the non-Schengen zone“, specified Nathalie Pierard, spokesperson for the airport. In Charleroi, the union common front meets at 11:00 am for a filter dam which should last until mid-afternoon.

At 7:50 a.m. at Brussels Airport, the delays caused by the police actions were estimated at 40 minutes for passengers.

In Charleroi, if the union front has planned to start its actions outside around 11:00 am, the actions will have started earlier in the morning inside the airport with “picky controls“.

In addition to a salary increase, the police are asking for an end-of-career plan. Their mobilization also intends to denounce the many savings made in the budget of the federal police.
