Irapuato, Gto. January 13, 2022. Guaranteeing comprehensive care for the families of victims of disappearance is a priority for the Government of Irapuato, therefore, municipal authorities met with members of the state commissions for Comprehensive Attention to Victims and Search for Persons.
The objective is to coordinate efforts and work in a transversal manner to guarantee, in each area of competence, the protection and accompaniment of relatives of persons who are victims of disappearance.
Lorena Alfaro García, municipal president, endorsed her commitment to the Iranian families that are part of the groups “A tu Encuentro”, “Hasta Encuentro” and “Una luz en tu camino”, to continue with the accompaniment and support.

“We are coordinating with the State, both with the Victim Assistance Commissioner and with the Search Commissioner. We are working because we want to give that support to the families and advance even more in that solidarity, sincere, sensitive support, which we must provide in a coordinated way until we find their loved ones, “he said.
At the meeting attended by Sergio Jaime Rochín del Rincón, State Commissioner for Attention to Victims; Francisco Javier Juárez, General Director of Legal Advice of the State Commission for Attention to Victims; Héctor Díaz Esquerra, Commissioner for the Search for Disappeared Persons of the State of Guanajuato and municipal officials, it was agreed to advance in the agreement for the creation of search cells in the municipality.
Alfaro García, reiterated that the meeting that he will hold with members of the groups, will arrive with responses to the requests made by the local search groups and actions in favor of the irapuatenses families.
Currently, the Government of Irapuato provides accompaniment to relatives of victims through the Secretariat of Citizen Security and the Directorate of Social and Human Development.
