With the presence of Lionel Messi and other players, the Argentine Football Federation (AFA) inaugurated a mural commemorating the Copa América title at the organization’s headquarters in Ezeiza, Argentina.
The mural is a tribute to players who won the title over Brazil, at Maracanã, and ended a 28-year fast without titles.
The place where the images alluding to the achievement were painted still has a panel with the signatures of the champion players.
One of the representations refers to goalkeeper Martínez, who starred in the gesture after saving Yerry Mina’s penalty, from Colombia, in the dispute for a place in the final. On the occasion, the broadcast caught the entire ‘catimba’ of the Argentine goalkeeper trying to destabilize the Colombian defender.
