Leitora complains that there are three trees at risk of falling in her house, but that she is unable to request removal, or at least permission to do such a service. According to her, this is because she is living in a lending area and does not have the documentation that regulates her property, which is located on Rua Betóia, in Jardim Canguru.

His biggest concern has been the rainy days in Campo Grande, in which many vegetations have yielded and destroyed homes. Currently away from her job, Stephanie Souza de Lima, 25, reports through the Direto das Ruas channel that the environment has even caused damage to sidewalks.

“[As árvores] they have all the roots out, the wall is already cracked. My house is already cracked, the trees are taking over the street they are so big and they are on top of my house as well and other houses. With the storms, many branches are falling, the roof tiles in my house have already broken and they are taken by termites.”

The resident also reports that she has also suffered from leaks and infiltrations inside her house, as she is currently without financial resources. “My house is pouring water in when it rains, I need help because I can’t afford it.”

“We are not able to have it pruned, I have not received it from the INSS since January, as I need a transplant. I am already transplanted from my left eye and am on the waiting list for my right eye. We live here because we are unable to buy land. In these rains, everything inside my house gets wet, there’s no place that doesn’t get wet.”
