Addendum was signed last week and allocates approximately R$ 940 thousand to the hospital
Addendum to the agreement signed last week, provides for more than 800 elective procedures, including surgeries and gynecological and pediatric exams in the next 12 months. The expansion of the agreement was signed between Sesau (Municipal Health Department) and the Cândido Mariano Maternity Hospital.
The objective of the agreement is to reduce the SUS (Unified Health System) waiting list, guaranteeing patients’ access to procedures. The addendum allocates approximately R$ 940 thousand to the hospital and totals 820 procedures, in addition to those already agreed in contract with the hospital.
“In this first moment, we will carry out the gynecological endoscopy under a joint effort and later we will open the schedules for the other procedures to be carried out”, explained Daniel Gonçalves de Miranda, president of the Cândido Mariano Maternity Hospital.
For the owner of Sesau, José Mauro Filho, the expansion assures patients access to the diagnosis or the procedure more quickly “considering that elective care was directly impacted on account of the Covid-19 pandemic”, he declared.
Altogether there will be 80 pediatric surgeries, 200 ligatures, 180 hysterectomies, 60 hysteroscopy and 300 non-invasive gynecological procedures. The forecast is that the services start next Saturday (27).
