An underground casino from payment terminals was closed in Izhevsk

The organizers of an underground casino were caught in Udmurtia. Instead of slot machines, they used old payment terminals. How reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region, this was done by two residents of the republic, 39 and 37 years old.

They rented 10 points for gambling halls in different districts of Izhevsk, in which they placed 16 devices, having previously installed special programs on them and connected to the Internet. The equipment was found by investigators during searches.

Now the detainees are in a temporary detention center. The May Day Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Udmurtia opened a criminal case on the fact of illegal organization and conduct of gambling committed as part of a group of persons by prior conspiracy. For this, the law provides for a prison term of up to four years or a fine of up to one million rubles. How much money the owners of the underground business managed to earn is not specified. By data Investigative Committee in the republic, the detainees spent their earnings not only on personal needs, but also on the development of a criminal network.
