A new version of the Coastal Coast Program (POC) is coming. The fear about the possible consequences of the new rules accelerated what some ironically classify as “Ongoing Concrete Process”. On the stretch of coast between Vilamoura and Lagos, seven major urbanization projects are already in the environmental assessment phase. There are over 11,000 beds, which will fit in the Terrestrial Protection Zone, 500 meters from the coastline, where construction should not be built according to current rules.
