It is likely that the dear reader has never seen a film from the late 1970s called Attack of the Killer Tomatoesbecause it is one of those works only for fanatics of trash movies, or for teenagers struggling to find a girlfriend – which is why I know him so well. The film opens with a very red tomato advancing towards a desperate housewife, the first victim of a long death caused by vegetables, which only do not take over the world because someone discovers that there is a song – “puberty love” – which causes them to shrink back to their original size, only to be crushed by an angry mob.
