According to information from columnist Patrícia Kogut, from the newspaper “O Globo”, the production of the series about the life of car driver Ayrton Senna had to be postponed by Netflix after the departure of director Fernando Coimbra. The series was scheduled for 2022.

The streaming project was announced in September of last year and will consist of an eight-episode miniseries. In the announcement, the platform stated that the recordings would take place in English and Portuguese, with the pilot’s family involved in the project. This will be the first production of its kind about the Brazilian pilot of Formula 1.

The starting point will be the beginning of the automobile career of Ayrton, when he moves to England to compete in the F1600. The entire trajectory of overcoming difficulties, misunderstandings, joys and sorrows. Behind the scenes will show his life until the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino GP.

Despite being postponed indefinitely, actor Chay Suede still quoted to live the Brazilian pilot. The project will also feature the actor Augusto Madeira, which will give life to a businessman and friend of Senna.
