The Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny won two awards in the Latin categories of the American Music Awards, for best male Latin artist and best Latin album for “El Último Tour Del Mundo”, just three days after that album triumphed in the urban section of the Latin Grammy.

For her part, Becky G won the best female Latin artist and Kali Uchis’s “Telepathy” took the title of favorite Latin song. Sergio Lizárraga’s Banda MS closed the Latin chapter with the award for the best group.

Like Bad Bunny, the South Korean group BTS swept by winning in the three categories for which they competed, including the most important of the night, which awards the artist of the year.

South Koreans were the main protagonists of the gala, held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles (USA), as they also won the award for best group and best pop song for “Butter”, they performed twice, one of them with the British Coldplay.

As a novelty, the AMAS inaugurated this year a category that awarded the most viral song on social networks such as TikTok and that went to “Body”, by Megan Thee Stallion, who also won the award for best rapper.

Taylor Swift, meanwhile, won the award for best pop singer for the seventh time in her career and her album “Evermore” was awarded the title of best pop album.
