Bahia closes week with 12 deaths and 1,443 more cases of Covid-19


Bahia closed the epidemiological week from February 26 to March 4 with 12 deaths and 1,443 more cases of Covid-19. The average is 440 active cases.

The data represent official notifications compiled by the Board of Epidemiological Surveillance in Health of Bahia (Divep-BA), together with municipal surveillance and Ministry of Health databases.

In the state, the occupancy rate of Intensive Care Units (ICU) is 32% for adults and 35% for pediatrics.

In Bahia, 72,092 health professionals tested positive for Covid-19.

Vaccination

So far, Bahia accounts for 11,726,057 people vaccinated with the first dose, 11,007,309 with the second dose or single dose, 7,764,666 with the booster dose and 3,222,987 with the second booster. Of the public aged 5 to 11 years, 1,094,909 children have already been immunized with the first dose and 748,060 have also taken the second dose. Of the group aged 3 to 4 years, 90,226 took the first dose and 45,013 took the second dose. Of the 6 months to 2 years group, 22,121 took the first dose and 5,887 took the second dose.
