Corresponding information from parliamentary groups confirmed the committee after a confidential meeting on Wednesday evening in Erfurt. This cleared the way for the state parliament committee to investigate Höcke.

According to reports, it concerns, among other things, a speech that Höcke gave in Merseburg (Saxony-Anhalt) and which, according to a “Spiegel” report, ended with the sentence “Everything for Germany”.

The Saxon-Anhalt Greens boss Sebastian Striegel (40) filed a criminal complaint against Höcke on June 8th – because of the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations. From Thuringian parliamentary groups it was said that the immunity waiver for the member of the state parliament is in connection with Striegel’s complaint.

Höcke spoke up personally and wrote on Facebook on Wednesday: “I am not surprised that an anti-German Green reported me because of this passage – the self-hatred is miraculous.”

“When I hear the immunity waiver, I can hardly do more than smile tiredly. What should I say about an immunity law that does not protect the rights holder, but rather obviously harms him?”, The 49-year-old also wrote in his article.

Höcke also wrote in the Facebook post that it was about suspicion of sedition. “Several times my immunity has already been lifted, several times because of the suspicion of alleged incitement to hatred. In a country that is upside down, you can’t get around it as a patriot,” said the former high school teacher. He called for a reform of the immunity law.

In Thuringia the immunity of members of the state parliament has already been lifted in the past. Among other things, the immunity was given by Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (65, left) canceled.
