The mayor Emir Félix led the act in which the family of the doctor who died in October 2020 after contracting coronavirus.

During daily work contracted the virus and battled against disease for almost two months, until the October 28, 2020 passed away. The doctor was 50 years old and his death caused a deep commotion in the community.
The center of rehabilitation that now named after Marcelo Hoffman started to function at the end of November 2020 after an agreement between the Municipality and the University of Mendoza.
