The Prefecture of Lauro de Freitas started, this Monday (27), immunization against Covid-19 with the bivalent vaccine. Immunization follows the schedule determined by the Ministry of Health.
According to the national schedule, in this first phase, people aged 70 or over, elderly residents in Long-Term Institutions (ILPI), immunocompromised people over 12 years of age and quilombola peoples should be immunized.
To receive the immunizer, it is necessary to present an official photo ID, CPF, SUS card and present the vaccination card with the description of the previous doses. Immunocompromised persons must also present the medical report in original and copy.

Vaccination takes place at the Aracuí Sports Gym, from 8am to 12pm and at the Family Health Units (USF) Vida Nova/ Caji, Irmã Dulce in Portão, Jardim Independência, São Judas Tadeu, Tarumã and Espaço Cidadão in Itinga, Manoel José Pereira in the Chaplain, Fr. João Abel (Jambeiro), Antônio Carlos Rodrigues in Areia Branca and Parque São Paulo from 8am to 3pm.

The bivalent immunizer increases protection against already identified strains of the coronavirus, including the Omicron variant. To receive this dose of the bivalent vaccine, it is necessary to have completed at least the complete primary scheme of two doses with the monovalent vaccines, respecting the minimum interval of 4 months from the last dose of the vaccine against covid-19 (monovalent) received.
