After an aircraft crash, the BEA must decrypt the aircraft’s black box. Is it a terrorist act or a tragic accident due to a mechanical problem? Even the experts contradict each other … The first part of this effective thriller by Yann Gozlan (Burn Out) encloses its main character and the spectator in its mental labyrinth. Pierre Niney once again offers a great actor’s number for this film which managed to attract a million curious to the cinema despite the pandemic in 2021 … and which was also # 1 in space, programmed on board the ISS when Thomas Pesquet was there!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
In the MCU galaxy, there are the big bloated movies and more modest parentheses, meant to introduce a new character. Shang-Chi clearly falls into the latter category. Fun, uninhibited, ideally made, Destin Cretton’s film lines up the awe-inspiring action scenes and functions as a breath of relaxation. For their first Asian superhero film, Marvel is cleverly paying homage to the entire spectrum of HK cinema. We therefore have a good fight Wu Xia (who evokes Tiger and dragon) to a scene “À la Jackie Chan” (the bus sequence) before flirting with supernatural romance and ending in epic-fantasy delirium that almost teases Tsui Hark. While offering a beautiful role to Tony Leung. First has been conquered. And you ?
Onoda – 10,000 nights in the jungle
Onoda is a survival and adventure film, also Japanese in the purity it exudes. A real shock, discovered during the last Cannes film festival, in which the French director Arthur Harari recounts thirty years of the life in parentheses of Hiro Onoda, a Japanese soldier stationed in Lubang in the Philippines who refused to accept the end of the Second World War and the surrender of his country.
Hug me tight
Finally, Mathieu Amalric returns with a magnificent melody on the breakup of a couple where the emotion – intense, immense – always arises by surprise. Vicky Krieps, who was awesome in Phantom Threadby Paul Thomas Anderson, is once again exceptional in Hug me tight.
