Jair Bolsonaro

President Jair Bolsonaro returned to attack ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) this Wednesday, 12, and showed that, no matter how much advice he receives, his will to create confusion always prevails.

After receiving the help of former president Michel Temer in September last year to try to fix the attacks he made against the STF in demonstrations on September 7, Bolsonaro returned to exalt himself against the ministers of the Supreme Court.

Referring specifically to ministers Luís Barroso and Alexandre de Moraes, the president insinuated that the two are defenders of Lula and that they are going to revoke the freedoms of Brazilians.

The two targets of the statements were not chosen at random. Bolsonaro is involved in five inquiries in the STF. Four of them are reported by Alexandre de Moraes. The president is also the subject of an administrative inquiry at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), chaired by Luís Barroso.

This Wednesday’s statement is absurd and only confirms that Bolsonaro really likes to attack institutions and bring even more instability to the country. Even appearing as defeated in all the polls of voting intentions for October, the president does not change his posture in search of harmony with the other powers.

The arms defender continues to shoot himself in the foot and, although he keeps saying that he plays “within the four lines of the Constitution”, he forgets that attacking ministers and institutions is the exact opposite of that.
