What is “Boston Strangler” about?
The film, based on true events, follows Loretta McLaughlin (Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper who becomes the first journalist to connect to the Boston Strangler’s murders. As the mysterious killer continues to claim more victims, Loretta tries to continue her investigation alongside her colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), but the duo finds the rampant sexism of the time hampered.
Nonetheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, risking their own lives to discover the truth.
