Russian figure skaters Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky won the pair sports competition at the French Grand Prix, which ended in Grenoble. The second place was taken by their compatriots Yulia Artemyeva and Mikhail Nazarychev.
The champions of Europe, prize-winners of the world championship Boykova – Kozlovsky scored 216.96 points in total for the short and free program. Prize-winners of the junior world championship, debutants of the adult season Artemyev – Nazarychev also exceeded the mark of 200 points (205.15)
Vanessa James – Eric Redford, representing Canada, were unable to stay in third place after the short program. Bronze in the free skating was taken by the Americans Alex Knierim – Brandon Fraser (201.69).
Recall that Alexandra Boykova – Dmitry Kozlovsky at the start of the season took bronze at Skate America. And thanks to today’s victory in France, they guaranteed themselves participation in the Grand Prix series finals, which will take place on December 9-12 in Osaka.
A place in the six strongest couples was also booked by the world championship winners Evgenia Tarasova – Vladimir Morozov.
