Because the hospitals in Brandenburg are increasingly burdened with the treatment of corona patients, there have already been transfers.
Potsdam – The hospitals in the south Brandenburg are getting stronger with the treatment of Crown-Patiënten burdened. According to the state government, there have already been relocations.
“The districts in the south of Brandenburg are currently particularly badly affected. Relocations of Covid-19 patients within the supply regions or within the state of Brandenburg have already been carried out,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Gabriel Hesse, on Saturday.
“This included, in particular, transfers from smaller hospitals to hospitals with higher levels of care.”
Brandenburg is divided into regions when it comes to supplying hospitals. The hospitals work closely together in the regional networks and coordinate with each other.

If the capacities in Brandenburg are no longer sufficient, the state can also fall back on help from neighboring countries. The 16 countries are divided into five groups called shamrocks.
Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia form the east clover leaf. These groups should first help each other.
However, according to the Brandenburg Ministry of Health, a tense situation with no reception facilities is currently being reported in all of these federal states. If an entire clover leaf is overloaded, patients are distributed nationwide.
