The general discussion resulted in a sharp debate, with the opposition focusing mainly on the measures against rising energy priceswhich would abandon the middle class. The left-wing opposition also took the Vivaldi squad’s intention to sanction the long-term sick if they categorically refuse to cooperate with their reintegration into the labor market, just like the plans to make the labor market more flexible. For the right, the latter measures do not go far enough.
At around 2.30 am, the House started the thematic discussions in which each minister can be questioned separately. Pierre-Yves Dermagne (Work and Economy), Georges Gilkinet (Mobility) and Zakia Khattabi (Climate) have already passed in review, while Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder is now next. After that, nine more Excellencies will be presented to the House, according to the schedule. The hemisphere still has some time to do this: the vote on the vote of confidence submitted by the government on Tuesday can take place at the earliest at 3 p.m.
