The best in world cinema gathered this Sunday (12) during the Oscar 2023 awards. The ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and defined the year’s main ones. Check the link below
The big award of the night was the film “Everything in every place at the same time”, with seven statuettes: supporting actor, supporting actress, best original screenplay, best film, best direction, best editing and best actress.
The animation “Pinocchio”, by director Guillermo del Toro, took the prize in the category, and was the first announced. “Avatar: The Way of Water” won Best Visual Effects. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever After” won Best Costume.
This year, the presentation was on behalf of comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who led the ceremony in 2017 and 2018. During the opening of the ceremony, he made some jokes about the slap given by Will Smith to Chris Rock in 2022, and became one of the reasons why the award became the most talked about topic on the web.
