Without a doubt, 2021 will be remembered as an election year. On May 15 and 16, citizens went to the polls to elect councilors, mayors, conventional constituents and governors. Less than a month later the ballot for this last position was carried out and the new process where the country will be able to vote will be the elections presidential primaries with a view to the first round to elect a new president in November.

The presidential primaries are looming, and a new debate is approaching. It should be remembered that there will be two pacts that will submit their letters to measure strength and see which has more political ground to face a presidential race. It is about I Approve Dignity, a list that will have Daniel Jadue (PC) and Gabriel Boric (CS).

From the ruling party side, Chile Vamos will have four alternatives: Joaquín Lavín (UDI), Mario Desbordes (RN), Ignacio Briones (Evópoli) and the independent candidacy of Sebastián Sichel.

It will be this political side that will have the first debate where they will be able to show the public their ideas and how they differ from their opponents.
