Circo Nacional de Cuba resumes its functions in Havana, with application of sanitary measures

The National Circus of Cuba confirmed today the restart of its functions. It will be starred by the Havana Company, which will give away the show, under strict health protocols to prevent the contagion and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With more than 25 years of being founded, the circus group will offer the public of the capital a presentation that responds to the urban concept and provides different acrobatic acts for more than 90 minutes.

The imaginary story that will take place in a city street incorporates the talent of the specialists in the swing, fixed bars with ranca, contortions and in adagio, all accompanied by the company’s dance corps.

According to the press release issued by the National Circus, the artistic direction of its founder Germán Muñoz stands out while the script and staging were conceived by Yorlani Mendoza and the choreography design will be carried out by Franco Noda (guest), Dioquiochi Fernández and Juan Carlos Castaño.

According to the institution, the functions will be -temporarily- on Saturdays and Sundays when biosecurity measures will be activated such as taking the temperature at the entrance of the tent, in addition, visitors must wear masks on a mandatory basis and respect physical distancing to access the cultural site.
