Colombian chain Juan Valdez opens its first store in Argentina

Bogotá, Jan 13 (EFE).- The Juan Valdez coffee chain, a brand of Colombian coffee growers, announced on Thursday the opening of its first store in Buenos Aires, an action with which it continues its international expansion.

The company arrives in Argentina after entering Chile, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, among other Latin American countries, in a “unique opportunity to continue offering the experience and quality of Colombian coffee,” reported the National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC).

In Argentina, which has an annual consumption of 28,428 tons of coffee, according to Euromonitor data cited by the FNC, the new Juan Valdez store is located in the Unicenter shopping center, one of the most important in Buenos Aires.

In the new coffee establishment, Argentines will have access to a “varied” catalog of espresso-based and filtered drinks, nevados, fruppes, as well as a mix of local and Colombian pastries, as well as the brand’s products, such as cups or packaged coffee.
