COVID Guanajuato today November 24: the latest news on infections and deaths

Leon, Guanajuato.- This Wednesday, November 24, the Guanajuato Health Secretariat reported 20 more deaths from COVIDAmong the deceased is a 21-year-old from Celayo.

It turned out that the young man did not have other diseases when contracting the virus, nor was he vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The agency detailed that the deaths were registered in 10 municipalities; Celaya topped the list with seven, followed by Cortazar with three, Comfort and Salvatierra with two deaths each.

While Irapuato, Lion, Ocampo, San Miguel de Allende, tarandacuao and Xichú reported one death.

The deceased people were between 21 and 83 years old, 14 of them were not vaccinated and 16 had other diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, asthma, cardiovascular disease and smoking.

Regarding infections, the Secretariat confirmed 373 new cases in 33 municipalities; Lion with 100, Penjamo with 67, Irapuato with 55, Celaya with 32 and Salamanca with 23 they registered the highest number of infected. In addition, the agency reported 627 cases under investigation and 2,181 active cases.

It was also indicated that today there are 223 patients hospitalized for acute respiratory infection, of which 118 are confirmed COVIDOf these, 84 are serious, 27 are in critical condition or intubated, and seven are stable.

Until today, Guanajuato accumulates 195 thousand 989 confirmed infections, 13 thousand 393 deaths and 180 thousand 723 people recovered from coronavirus.
