COVID in Guanajuato today: the latest news on infections, vaccines and vaccination certificate this Friday, January 14, 2022

Guanajuato.- The escalation of infections of COVID continues in Guanajuato; This Friday, 1,615 cases were reported, twice as many infected as a week ago and also the occupation in hospitals has grown in the entity.

In addition, today the death of a 29-year-old from Celaya was reported who did not have any risk disease, but did not have any vaccine.

The agency specified that in the last 24 hours the death of 16 people was confirmed due to COVID in Guanajuato.

The other deceased were between 47 and 90 years old, of which nine were vaccinated but only one of them did not suffer from any risk disease due to COVID.

He also detailed that today 1,615 infections were detected in 41 municipalities of the entity and those that detected the most were León (365), Irapuato (151), Celaya (120), Salvatierra (90), Salamanca (80), Guanajuato (80) and Acámbaro (70).

COVID in Guanajuato: hospitalizations are also on the rise

Last Friday, 721 infections were reported from COVID in 35 municipalities of Guanajuato, so daily new cases doubled in one week.
