Cruz Azul vs. Monterrey: Jonathan Rodríguez would be out for the Concachampions semifinal match | Mexico | MEXICO

Blue Cross faces this Thursday to Monterrey for the pass to the grand final of the Concachampions. Juan Reynoso sees this game as the opportunity he needs to win again, after adding four consecutive games without being able to know of victories and he hoped to have the total of his squad; however, that will not be possible.

Jonathan Rodriguez It is a doubt to face the ‘Rayados’ due to muscular problems. The Uruguayan drags physical annoyances that marginalized him from seeing more action with his team in the past games for the Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022.

As explained by Record, Rodríguez has not been ruled out for the match, but, most likely, he will wait for his opportunity on the substitute bench. It would go into the second half depending on the context of the game.

With the attacker absent, Reynoso would have to use Santiago Giménez. The Peruvian would send the best of his squad, after giving rest to his main figures in the match, he hires Bravos de Juárez.

The ‘Cement Machine’ fell 1-0 against Monterrey in the first leg semifinal and will have to score yes or yes at the Azteca stadium if it wants to continue with options in the key.

Cruz Azul needs to keep a clean sheet, something difficult with a rival team with a good attack line, led by Colombian Duván Vergara and Argentine Rogelio Funes Mori. Coach Reynoso will try to look for goals but with patience so as not to give away spaces that complicate his performance in case Monterrey scores.

After facing Javier Aguirre’s team, Cruz Azul will have to collide with Querétaro for another round of Liga MX.
