This Thursday, the 14th, the strike of Cruzeiro players officially begins because of back wages. Technical commission, players and employees have been unpaid for months by the celestial board. Because of the goalless draw against Botafogo on Tuesday, 12, on Wednesday, it was off. Then, from Thursday onwards, the stoppage starts.

In a note posted on social media goalkeeper Fábio posted a statement to the fans explaining the reason for the celestial movement. In the publication, the idol says that employees depend on financial aid from players, since they are not receiving their salaries.

While the players lead the movement and have made the decision not to go to Toca da Raposa to train, the club president, Sérgio Santos Rodrigues, was harshly criticized on social media. The agent is not in Brazil. He is in Europe taking FIFA courses. In fact, Rodrigues manifested himself.

“It’s a challenge to be here at this time of Cruzeiro because, of course, there are people who will talk about it, there are always those who criticize. Wow, but Cruzeiro is in 10th position (actually, 11th) and the president is in Portugal . As if this were the worst of things and, therefore, that Cruzeiro is in the 10th position. Criticism of this was also not lacking,” he said in a video shared on the networks.

Cruzeiro will only return to the field next Friday, 22, against Avaí, in Ressacada. Until then, it remains to be seen what actions the board will take to resolve the imbroglio and pay the salaries of employees, players and coaching staff.
