Even under Disney, “Deadpool” remains R-Rated
The biggest surprise and probably also the greatest joy for fans of the talkative superhero is that Disney apparently does without the hitherto tough principle of the family-friendly PG-13 rating in “Deadpool 3”. Feige confirmed that writers Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux (“Bob’s Burgers”) are already working on a script under the supervision of Ryan Reynolds.
In the meantime, however, the team of authors may have changed: “screenrant” speaks namely of the duo Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese as authors of “Deadpool 3”. They gave a little taste of the story, saying that in the new film Deadpool will feel like a “fish out of water” and that they will “throw a madman into a very sane world”.
That sounds promising, and it actually sounds like Deadpool will stay true to himself despite the MCU inclusion, PG-13 rating and fourth wall breaking included. In addition, the film should thus approach the mood in the comics, in which Deadpool behaves like a lunatic in a very good (Marvel) world and violates every (Marvel) rule that is out there.
