It’s a beautiful story, that of a genius creator: Mate Rimac, who, in 2009, launched a start-up (the company, based in Zagreb, now has no less than 1,300 employees, including 1 100 engineers) with the avowed goal of creating the most powerful electric car – a hypercar – in the world.
You have it in front of you, it’s Rimac (pronounced Rimatz) Nevara! It is now ready for commercialization. We were able to discover live, this Thursday, at Autoworld in Brussels, one of the rare pre-production copies. And it is true that it has quite exceptional characteristics, in its search for performance but also for perfection.
The equivalent of 1914 horses
Rather judge! It develops … 1.4 MW of power, in other words the equivalent of 1,914 hp for an absolutely phenomenal torque of 2,360 Nm, connoisseurs will appreciate, knowing, by way of comparison, that the basic car of the man-all-the -world reaches between 120 and 200 Nm of torque.
This Nevara, which offers 6 driving modes, including a circuit type, can reach a speed of 412 km / h after climbing from 0 to 100 in 1.97 seconds. More significantly still, it goes from 0 to 300 km / h in 9.3 seconds.
Built in 150 copies, all personalized, the Rimac Nevara is obviously a highly exclusive car, the price of which also touches the peaks since it will cost some 2 million euros (excluding tax) to afford this jewel. ‘Ieteren, which already distributes other very exclusive brands, such as Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti, Rimac is emerging as a label representing not only luxury but also the electric future at the highest level, which places more than ever before the importer at the center of the Belgian mobility landscape.
