The Portuguese duo formed by gymnasts Diogo Abreu and Pedro Ferreira won this Sunday the bronze medal in the synchronized trampoline final of the World Cup in Baku, with a total of 50,730 points.
The Portuguese were only beaten by a duo from Kazakhstan (Danil Mussabayev and Pirmammad Aliyev), with 51,940 points, and Germany (Caio Lauxtermann and Matthias Pfleiderer, current world champions), with 51,080.
Abreu and Ferreira, veterans of the world circuit, are part of the current world champion team in the discipline, with Lucas Santos, and are runners-up in the world of synchronized trampoline, having once again confirmed these good results in Azerbaijan.
Qualified for the individual trampoline final, the Olympian Diogo Abreu was on the verge of a new medal, with a fourth place rewarding a routine worth 57,520, better than the 54,790 of Lucas Santos, another Portuguese in the competition, in sixth place, in competition won by Mussaayev, with 59,240.
