This Wednesday the diving team that will represent Cuba in the I Junior Pan American Games, which will host Cali, Colombia, between November 25 and December 5, was announced.
According to Jit, Anisley García leads the group of eight athletes, four in both sexes, heading for the multisport event. The capital will take part in the trampoline tests, at one and three meters, platform and in the mixed event.
The sports medium explains that “the latter is a test that does not appear in the Olympic program and consists of a competitor of each sex who will perform jumps from the springboards and the platform alternately to pay tribute to a cumulative set.”
The other members of the team are Prisisleidis Ruiz (one meter springboard), Jennifer Medina (three meter springboard) and Érika Suñol (platform), among the women; Laydel Domínguez and José Alfredo Quintana (both on trampoline) and Luis Gustavo Cañabate and Carlos Daniel Ramos (platform), among the men.
