Doctor Strange 2 "cameo party"?

By playing with the multiple universes of Marvel, this sequel could bring back plenty of unexpected superheroes.

Whereas les reshoots from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just ended, the current rumor in Hollywood concerns the content of these additional scenes. So officially, the team readjusted the story after that of Spider-Man : No Way Home (this sequel worn by Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen was initially due out before the film with Tom Holland), it is rumored that Kevin Feige took the opportunity to ask Sam Raimi to add plenty of cameos in his blockbuster. It must be said that the concept of “multivers” lends itself to this kind of game. After bringing back several key characters from the different adaptations of Spider-Man in No Way Home, Why stop now while everything is going so well ?

Too much fan service in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

The idea shared at the moment on social networks is as follows: Doctor Strange 2 could extend the concept of Spider-Man 3 by bringing back characters from different sagas. For example the X-Men Wolverine, Tornado or Professor Xavier, played by Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Patrick Stewart? Or Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider? How about Ben Affleck as Daredevil and Wesley Snipes as Blade? Marvel could dig far enough into its history to surprise audiences.
Even more astonishing, the firm could also play with universes which have not been concretized in reality. For example, before choosing Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, it was a time to cast Tom Cruise in the costume of Tony Stark. Negotiations were unsuccessful, but the story is known and could offer a funny cameo for the star of Mission : Impossible. A “version alternative” which would exist for a few moments “for real” in Doctor Strange 2 ?

Even stronger: if this “cameo party” is verified, it could offer different roles to the same actor, Chris Evans for example playing both Captain America and Johnny Storm of the 4 Fantastic at Marvel. Now that Disney has bought out 20th Century Fox, which produced both films in 2005 and 2007, the studio could well bring back this other cult star figure. Ditto with another Johnny Storm, by the way, since Michael B. Jordan, who played him in the 2015 adaptation, has since played Killmonger in Black Panther… Conversely, multiple performers of the same superhero could end up on screen in Doctor Strange 2, Bruce Banner / Hulk having been played by Eric Bana, Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo in the movies. Like Lou Ferrigno on television, even if it means going through with the concept …

All this is for the moment only speculation and will have to be verified once before Doctor Strange 2, which will be released on May 4. Here is his trailer:
