Members of the Xylofagos Police Station, in collaboration with members of the Famagusta Traffic Police and the EOMO Headquarters, carried out targeted controls yesterday in the context of the prevention of road accidents and the prevention and suppression of juvenile delinquency.
During the inspections, a total of 137 traffic complaints were made, with 63 related to speeding, another 23 for not using a seat belt, while the other 51 related to various other traffic offenses.
In addition to the complaints, there were five seizures of motor vehicles (three cars, a moped and a motorcycle), as well as the arrest of a person for possession of drugs (cannabis).
Xylofagou Police Station continues the examinations.
