4 found dead at marijuana farm in Oklahoma

Oklahoma, USA (AP).- Authorities have a “suspect in mind” after the discovery of four bodies and one injured person at a marijuana farm in rural Oklahoma, but have not announced any arrests.

According to Capt. Stan Florence of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, authorities believe the suspect knew the victims, found Sunday night on the 10-acre (4-hectare) farm, about 55 miles (90 kilometers) away. northwest of Oklahoma City.

“Everyone knows each other,” Florence said. “I don’t know if they are relatives or co-workers, but we believe that all of these individuals knew each other.”

Authorities have not revealed the identity of the victims or how they were killed.

The injured person is at a hospital in Oklahoma City.

The case is being investigated as a quadruple homicide.

Officers from the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a hostage situation at the farm but asked state authorities for help, Florence said.

“At this point, we have a suspect in mind,” Florence told reporters at the scene.

“We have no concrete information to give. for now”. Police scoured the property Sunday and Monday using drones, helicopters and agents on the ground, but did not find the suspect, Florence said.

“There is a lot to find out in this case,” he said. “It will take time for us to process it.”

Oklahoma voters legalized medical marijuana in 2018, and the industry grew rapidly, thanks to a law that placed fewer restrictions than in other states.

Voters will decide in March whether to legalize the drug for recreational use.
