The idea of ​​making a sequel to the film Conan the Barbarian was born after the great commercial success of the first film, which had also allowed Arnold Schwarzenegger to reveal himself to the general public. However, director John Milius, who directed the first feature film, was unavailable. Roger Donaldson was then hired. However, producer Dino De Laurentiis ultimately preferred to assign the filmmaker another project: The Bounty (1984). John Milius then suggested the name of Richard Fleischer to him.who at the time had directed one of his favorite films, The Vikings (1958).

Conan the destroyer: less violence and nudity in this sequel, but also more humor
