The novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos never ceases to make children. A new adaptation of its Dangerous Liaisons will arrive on Netflix this summer. This French version developed for the platform will actually be more of a kind of adaptation of Sex Intentionson the Basque coast, judging by the trailer:

Seventeen years old, Célène is idealistic, believes in absolute love, and is more interested in reading than in social networks. Leaving Paris for Biarritz, she prepares to live for some time away from her fiancé, Pierre. Very quickly, she confronts the diabolical elite of her new high school over which reign the former star of the big screen and queen of Instagram Vanessa and the famous surfer Tristan, as dangerous as he is seductive. When she falls in love with him, Célène is far from suspecting that she is at the center of a cruel bet between Tristan and Vanessa. How far will they go?

Dangerous relationships, a film directed by Rachel Suissa and written by Slimane-Baptiste Berhoun. In the casting, it is Paola Locatelli who will become this Cécile de Volanges who has become Célène, while Simon Rérolle will be a new Valmont surfer.

Dangerous relationships will be released on July 8 on Netflix.
