Fantasy universe ends after 13 years: Last Vampire Diaries series canceled with a bang

The major US broadcasters are currently deciding on the program for the upcoming TV season. As a result, many series are not only being extended and some are even being reordered. No, we’re also expecting some layoffs. At The CW, it hit the last remaining series from the Vampire Diaries universe, among other things.

Once again Hollywood reporters reported there will be no more season of Legacies. Series creator Julie Plec’s spin-off premiered on The CW in October 2018. Four years and four seasons later pulled the plug on the fantasy series. We no longer need to get our hopes up for Legacies Season 5.

Vampire Diaries offshoot: No season 5 for Legacies

Vampire Diaries is one of the most important series in The CW history. In 2009, the vampire series starring Nina Dobrev was launched and turned into an extremely popular one Figurehead for the station. The Vampire Diaries was canceled in 2017 after eight seasons, but the first spin-off was released in 2013.

The Originals was intended to replicate the success of the original and still ran for five seasons. In 2018, the first and the second spin-off gave each other the handle in your hand: With the end of The Originals came the beginning of Legacies. Another series from the Vampire Diaries universe is currently not planned.
