New Resident Evil era at Netflix: First trailer for the bloody horror series revealed

There’s only one more unbreakable than the T-Virus: the Resident Evil franchise. After several live-action films with Milla Jovovich, a reboot and animated films and series, new life is being pumped into the undead series again this year. This time the streaming service Netflix your turn. Today we have for you the first teaser trailer for the new live action series Resident Evil.

What is known about the new Resident Evil series on Netflix?

The Resident Evil series on Netflix will not follow the events of the recent movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, nor those of the Milla Jovovich cinema series.

The live-action series aims to new story based on the successful game series. The cast includes loud Variety Lance Reddick (John Wick), who is set to play Albert Wesker, as well as Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels), Tamara Smart (A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting) and new cast member Ahad Raza Mir. Supernatural writer Andrew Dabb and his team will serve as showrunners on the series.

When is the new Resident Evil series coming to Netflix?

Resident Evil launches on July 14, 2022 on Netflix. It remains to be seen whether we are really dealing with a new horror era or – after the last movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City – another damper for the reboot efforts.
