Sylvester Stallone leaves Rambo & Rocky behind: First video shows the most exciting role in years

In recent years, Sylvester Stallone has returned, especially in well-known roles. In addition to Rambo and Rocky, the next appearance in the circle of the Expendables is in the starting blocks. Tulsa King shows that Stallone is still pursuing greater ambitions in his career very first major series role of the action star.

In Tulsa King, Stallone embodies a mobster named Dwight “The General” Manfredi. This comes from New York and has made a big name for himself there, maybe even too big: After 25 years in prison, he is exiled by his boss – to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

As the teaser trailer suggests, no peaceful retirement awaits the gangster. On the contrary: just like New York, Tulsa is becoming determined by criminal powers, so the general decides to build a new empire. It’s only a matter of time before Stallone’s character can call himself the eponymous Tulsa King.

Taylor Sheridan is behind Tulsa King. The director and screenwriter was the last to worry with gripping thrillers for sensation. He wrote the two Sicario films and the Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water. As a director, he was able to prove himself as a director with the no less exciting Wind River and the survival adventure They Want Me Dead.

When does Tulsa King start with Sylvester Stallone?

Tulsa King launches in the US on November 13, 2022 on the Paramount+ streaming service. It is not yet clear when and how the series will come to Germany.
