Sylvester Stallone's farewell in The Expendables 4: The action legend could leave so heartbreakingly

After The Expendables 4, Sylvester Stallone is leaving the action series forever. This caused a lot of speculation among fans about the type of farewell. Will his character Barney Ross die? Does he just disappear? Is there a heartbreaking final scene? We present three options.

1. The Expendables take revenge for Sylvester Stallone’s death in Part 4

One popular theory among fans It’s tragic, but it fits perfectly. There Stallone dies a bloody death right at the beginning. That gives the Expendables rest under Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) the reason for a furious revenge campaign. Instead of a run-of-the-mill mission, the group would have a credible, personal goal. And whatever enemy is responsible for Ross’s death (Iko Uwais?), he immediately sets himself apart as an exceptional antagonist.

2. Sylvester Stallone engages in a deadly action showdown in Part 4

More classic, if less compelling, is Stallone’s demise at the end. With the last of his strength he brings his flock to dry land in a highly dangerous gunfight and dies an action hero’s death for his comrades-in-arms and/or his ideals. It’s like Sylvester Stallone’s James Bond 007 – No Time To Die. So you could still enjoy the star in a few tangible scenes.

3. Sylvester Stallone takes on Bruce Willis’ role in The Expendables 4

But just because Ross is a mercenary with a latent desire to die doesn’t mean he has to die right away. It would be conceivable (via Screenrant ) that in The Expendables 4 he takes over the function of Bruce Willis’ role Mr. Church in the first and second part. He conveys the action order to his ex-team, but otherwise holds back.

The role would be good to return in the future. However, one The Expendables 4 picture showed Stallone in battle gear. If Theory 3 were to prove true, Stallone would take up arms again, at least at the beginning or in the grand finale.

When is The Expendables 4 coming with Sylvester Stallone?

Unfortunately, it will be a while before action fans can be sure of Sylvester Stallone’s fate. The film has no release date as of yet. We expect towards the end of 2022 with The Expendables 4.
