The Boys |  Derived series gets new cast

According to a report by deadlinethe next series derived from ‘the boys‘ received new additions to the cast, including London Thor (Shameless) as a substitute for Queen Hardery (Runaways), who left the series a few weeks ago.

The website also confirms that Derek Luh (Shining Valley), Shelley Conn (Bridgerton) and the newcomer German Wing will have regular roles throughout the first season, but no further details for now.

Other major departures have taken place since the original announcement, including Shane Paul McGhie and Aimee Carrerolargely because of the long process required to go into production.

Its development is underway in Prime Video for almost two years, so these actors probably had to give up the series so they wouldn’t miss out on other jobs.‎‎

In addition, there was a change of command behind the scenes, with Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters hired as new main producers.

The plot will focus on a group of teenagers with super powers, who are trying to escape from Vought International, a company that has great importance in the main series.

The derivative will be rated +18, and is described as “irreverent, exploring a pivotal period in the lives of super-powered youths where their physical, sexual and moral decisions will be put to the test. Part high school, part The Hunger Games. With a big heart and traditional The Boys satire.”
