The budget of Fast & Furious 10 explodes to more than 300 million dollars!

The 10th installment in the franchise would have become the 4th most expensive film of all time.

The increase in the budget of Fast & Furious 10 would be climbing at the speed of Dom Toretto in his Dodge Charger! Production costs explode according to a report by The Wrapwhich reveals that the budget of FastX just went up to $340 million, 1.5x more than its predecessor, F9which had a budget of $200 million.

Why such an increase? The saga would have lost tax aid but would above all have seen the cachets of the stars of the franchise carried by Vin Diesel fly away. To this would be added costs related to health requirements due to COVID-19 protocols.

For the time being, this budget of 340 million dollars is not yet official, but if it were to reach such amounts, it would become the fourth most expensive film ever produced, behind Avengers: Endgame ($365 million), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($365 million) and Pirates of the Caribbean: Fountain of Youth ($379 million).

Still, that shouldn’t, in any case, prevent Universal from making money from the film. F9for example, had gleaned 726 million dollars at the box office, the series Fast & Furious as a whole grossed over $6 billion.

Fast & Furious 10 will also see Jason Momoa arrive in the cast (Aquaman), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) and Brie Larson (Captain Marvel). Released on May 24, 2023 at the cinema.
