Moving in Falabella. The group reported yesterday that during the second quarter of next year it will leave its emblematic offices in downtown Santiago and will settle in the Nueva Las Condes hub.

In a statement, the retail firm said that corporate Falabella, Falabella Retail and will lease 8,800 square meters – corresponding to 11 floors – from Grupo Patio.

As it transpired, the offices located at Manuel Rodríguez Norte 730, Rosas corner, would have been sold to a real estate agency that seeks to develop a project in the place.

The company pointed out that the change aims “to generate new workspaces that allow more horizontal, flexible, collaborative interactions, and with a hybrid modality between face-to-face and remote work.”

The new offices will be close to the premises that Falabella has in Open Plaza Kennedy, next to Parque Arauco. In that place, it also operates a Sodimac store, a Tottus supermarket and the first Ikea store in Chile will be installed.

Likewise, the new icon store of Falabella Retail will be inaugurated in a neighboring point to this location.

Although they did not mention it in their statement, industry sources comment that the new location to which the firm is going to move is the Patio Nueva Las Condes building, located at Rosario Norte 660. This tower is known in the sector as it belonged to the Grupo Saieh and it is where Corpbanca had its headquarters before the merger with Itaú.

It was in February of last year that Patio informed the market that it had reached an agreement with VivoCorp to keep that building in addition to other companies that manage those properties.

In fact, in June 2019, VivoCorp reported that the purchase of all the shares issued by the company Administradora Edificio Corpgroup SA, whose main asset was the Rosario Norte 660 property.
