Directed by Ryan Murphy, the film is based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s book about her personal experience, a bestseller that has become a kind of roadmap for travel and self-discovery.

The third season of the series begins, crossing the practice of medicine with the paths of immigration, through the experience of Bashir Hamed (Hamza Hag), a Syrian clinician with refugee status in Canada, where he returns to work in the emergency department. Their journey of trauma, adaptation and hope resumes today in two episodes, Fractura e Bagagem, and continues to be released on Thursdays.

In Japan, “ama” means “person of the sea” and designates the ancestral practice of women who dive in apnea to collect abalones, seaweed, pearls and other marine treasures, to then resume their traditional domestic routine. This documentary by Cláudia Varejão, winner of the prize for best film in the Portuguese Competition at Doclisboa 2016, follows three of these women, from different generations, in a small fishing village.
