FC Barcelona: Thiago Alcántara says 'no' to Xavi and refuses to return to the Barça team | Liverpool | Transfers | FOOTBALL-INTERNATIONAL

Not all the players who left the FC Barcelona they are willing to return. Or at least that seems to be fulfilled with Thiago Alcantara. The midfielder’s name had appeared in the English press as a possibility at the Camp Nou at the request of Xavi Hernandez. However, these rumors would be very far from reality.

According to information from ‘Liverpool Echo’, Thiago Alcantara I would not be willing to go back to Barcelona, since he is focused on recovering his best version and being taken into account again by Jürgen Klopp.

The Spanish international player is not going through his best moment in the Anfield team, since the injuries are weighing him down a lot compared to his teammates, which is why there had been speculation about his return to the Barça team.

However, already on Wednesday for the Champions League he left a clear message of his situation, thanks to a great goal against Porto. A right-hand shot from the Spanish-Brazilian gave the English team a boost and, due to the great quality of the shot, he was even applauded even by his coach.

Future option

Despite having a good list of flyers with Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Nico or Gavi among others, such as Dani Alves, Xavi want the experience of Thiago Alcantara. The international with Spain was formed in La Masía, so he knows very well what Barça’s DNA is.

Although for now his career is to continue in the Liverpool and the Premier League, what is not clear is what Alcántara will do once his contract with the English team ends, that is, in two years, when he is already 32 years old.

The Barcelona he will continue to have it on his agenda and then he could try to get his services. If he cannot in the next markets, he will seek to negotiate with him his free return after the end of the contract.

It should be remembered that Thiago left the Barcelona in the summer of 2013 after not enjoying many opportunities in the first team. He played for Bayern Munich until 2020 and then signed for Liverpool, a team where he has lost prominence.
