Flamengo beats Palmeiras again and qualifies for the final of the Brazil U-17 Cup

The Cup of Brazil U-17 today met the first finalist in the competition. Flamengo defeated Palmeiras by 5-3, in the middle of Allianz Parque, and qualified for the decision. Mengão now awaits the definition of the other semifinal, between São Paulo and Atlético-MG, which will take place next Tuesday (19th). Tricolor won the first leg by 1-0.

The red-black team had defeated Verdão in the first match, in Gávea, last week, by 7-3. expanded to nine, with Matheus França. Verdão decreased at 16, with Endrick, but took the third near the end of the first half, at 41, with Matheus Gonçalves. Alviverde still scored at 43, with Jota.

In the second stage, Mengão scored again with Victor Hugo, at 10 minutes, and expanded at 12 minutes, with Matheus França. Palmeiras decreased to 36, with Allan, closing the score.

On leaving the field, to SporTV, Victor Hugo, from Flamengo, commented the classification: “Too happy, there’s no way to explain it. We’ve been working hard, it’s deserving of everything we’ve been living. Happy for the goals, I’ve been contributing with the group. It’s to take advantage and focus that it’s another national final of the year”

The player also spoke about the rivalry with the São Paulo. “It’s healthy, they are two big teams that are always fighting on top of the table, always looking for titles, trying to play forward. It increases even more the dimension of our victory here today,” he said.
